How to get to the Playground Surf Resort
Your journey begins at the airport in Padang, where one of our representatives will be waiting for your arrival. The time of transfer from the airport to the port is approximately one hours (arrival to Padang must be no later than 13:30). The CROSSING includes air-conditionated cars transfers with baggages and surfboards to Bungus Harbor, ferry tickets, baggage handling and twin or quad share air-conditionated cabins.
The Ambu-ambu/Gambolo ferry-boat departs from Padang around 6:30 pm and it takes around 10 hours till the Mentawai Islands. Once you arrive at the port of Siberut / Tua Pejat, Mentawai, one of our boats will transfer you to the Playground Surf Resort. The transfers is made on a enclosed speedboat with twin 85HP outboards. Takes over an 1hr and you will be arriving at the surf resort around 09:00am.
On the return, one of our boats will take you from the PlayGround Surf Resort up to the port of the Mentawais Siberut / Tua Pejat. There you will board the ferry-boat early evening and arriving in Padang in the morning around 6:00 am, where one of our representatives will be waiting to make your transfer back to the airport. Your flight out of Padang must depart no earlier than 11:00am.
The Ambu Ambu Ferry is actually the most reliable ferry running in the Mentawai Islands. It's actually rarely delayed and guests can relax in their own private cabins during the crossing.
